Titletown Transitioning Back to In-person Park Programming

July 07, 2020

In-person daily programming and free activities are back at Titletown starting today, with a variety of summer activities that kicked off virtually last month now transitioning to be held in the park.
Titletown has been closed for organized in-person programs since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The month of July will feature a mix of programs held in-person and online. The programs transitioning to be held in person are continuations of programs that were held virtually during June, giving community members opportunities to get outside, stay active and have fun.

As activities transition back to be held in the park, Titletown is implementing new procedures to ensure guests and participants can stay healthy and safe.

The new procedures include many in-person activities requiring registration, with limits to number of participants to allow for appropriate social distancing, as well as encouraging the use of masks. Participants are asked to check the calendar at titletown.com/events/calendar to learn which programs will be held in-person and whether registration is required.

Additionally, The Turn and 46 Below will open to the public beginning Friday, July 10. Titletown’s football field, playground and game courts are open, but guests are reminded to bring their own equipment.

Activities fit into five different categories and are all free unless otherwise noted:

Get Creative: Kids and families are invited to embrace their artistic side, with guided art and STEAM projects through the Art Cart Pop Up, U.R. Art and Tinker Tuesdays. Artists in the Park, a new program, will allow visitors to watch the development of art in action as new projects are created each week. Pre-registration may be required, and some activities will be offered virtually as well as in-person, so visit titletown.com/events/calendar to learn more and see a full schedule.
Get Moving: Community members of all ages can discover new ways to get their bodies moving, with Tai Chi, Ballroom Lessons and Line Dancing classes. Pre-registration is required for these in-person classes; to learn more about dates and times and to register, please visit titletown.com/events/calendar.
Get Social: Enjoy music from local artists, streamed via Facebook and taking place in-person each Friday during Acoustic Lunch. Community members looking to support local businesses can also enjoy the Virtual Night Market from the comfort of their couch, with several vendors featured each week. More information is available on titletown.com/events/calendar.
Get Learning presented by Imperial Supplies: Travel the world, make homemade instruments, learn to play chess or spend some virtual time with the Brown County Library. A mix of in-person and digital programs are being offered; to see the full slate of Get Learning activities, please visit titletown.com/events/calendar.
Get Fit: Returning favorites and new workouts will be offered for free, with registration required for all of the programs including Zumba, Yoga, Boot Camp, Werq, and Family Fitness. A free Barre at the Park class will be offered Tuesday, July 28. To see the entire schedule of Get Fit activities and register for classes, please visit titletown.com/events/calendar.
