Special activities for all ages, midnight countdown and fireworks to highlight New Year’s Eve event.
Titletown is set for its annual outdoor New Year’s Eve celebration – TT NYE, presented by Pieper Electric – with extended tubing and skating hours, special activities for all ages and a midnight countdown with fireworks planned to welcome the dawn of 2020.
A variety of winter activities, ice carving demonstrations, live music and entertainment, interactive games and photo opportunities will be offered throughout the evening. A heated tent will cover the plaza, and fire pits and warming lamps will be positioned throughout the park.
The heated tent will feature live music hosted by Jayson Slade from WIXX, a giant Lite Brite, virtual reality goggle games and a glow bar offering beverages for purchase.
The ice skating rink will also feature a “silent disco,” from 6 to 11 p.m. in which DJs will spin in light-up igloos on the plaza and play music that can only be heard by those skating while wearing special headphones provided by Titletown. Extended skating hours will be from 1 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and extended tubing hours from 1 to 11 p.m.
All guests must sign a waiver to skate or tube at Titletown. Any guest 13 years and younger must have a parent present at Admissions to sign a waiver and pay before they are able to participate. Guests from ages 14 to 17 may provide a completed waiver signed by a parent or guardian, or they may have a parent present at Admissions to sign a waiver. Waivers are available online at titletown.com/events/recreation/skating and titletown.com/events/recreation/tubing.
Additional entertainment and activities will include fire and LED juggling shows, giant jenga and lawn pong, LED-lit swings, photo booths and “snow art” that will invite guests to draw and paint on the snow’s surface.
To ring in the new year, a complimentary champagne toast at 11:45 p.m. will be offered, while supplies last, and a countdown will begin at 11:59 p.m., followed by an extended fireworks show.
Aside from skating and tubing admission and rentals, TT NYE activities are complimentary. All ages are welcome to attend. TT NYE is a part of Titletown’s Winter Jubilee, presented by Performa and Mad City Windows & Baths.
Titletown’s Winter Jubilee will last beyond the holiday season, with programming and events planned through February. New events, “Light Up Titletown” and “Artic Blast: An Ice + Music Festival” will take place in January and February, and the popular “Titletown Winter Games” presented by U.S. Venture will return on Feb. 15-16. Programming throughout the winter beginning in January will include yoga and fitness classes as well as skate lessons, “Winter Unplugged” live music, Fireside Fridays, public art installations and special ice skating and tubing theme nights.
