Free event offering family friendly activities to explore sustainability and the environment
Titletown is set to host the free, environmentally focused event “Go Green With Titletown” on Saturday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Taking place outdoors throughout Titletown, Go Green will offer family friendly interactive exhibits and workshops aimed at helping the community adopt more sustainable practices through hands-on experiences and activities.
Guests will learn about the benefits of recycling, discover new ways to reduce waste and participate in workshops that will highlight practical ways to go green. Families will have the opportunity to make sustainable paper toys, flower crafts and recycled seed planters, and activity stations for kids will offer a variety of interactive demonstrations to explore the concepts of “reduce, reuse and recycle.”
Event attendees can also drop off items valid for e-recycling and ensure they are disposed of safely and responsibly. Items that can be recycled include used computers and computer accessories, desktop printers, modems, fax machines, tablets and e-readers, gaming systems, stereos, digital cameras and phones. A list of the items that can be recycled is available at titletown.com/events/calendar/go-green.
Please note, the recycling event will not be able to accept items with freon (dehumidifiers, air conditioners), TVs or monitors.
